San Ignacio Resort Hotel, open to guests since 1976, provides unsurpassed levels of luxury and service in Belize. The resort is centrally located in San Ignacio Town, within a 17 acre private estate, just 72 miles west of Belize City. This lush tropical setting on a hillside along the Macal River gives the resort its unique feature of providing luxury at “the only jungle in town.” Just a short walk puts you in downtown San Ignacio where the culture and lifestyle of the people abound or in the middle of one of Belize’s ancient Mayan temples known as Cahal Pech.

Named HOTEL OF THE YEAR 2012, the deluxe 27 room jungle and hillside hotel has seen major remodeling featuring a contemporary and Mediterranean style lobby with marble columns and floors, along with an exotic hardwood staircase winding up to the Master Suite. Recent renovations also introduce a new air conditioned lobby bar and dining room and an extended redesigned outdoor seating area.
